The Grudge (2020)

it's more on story telling and conversation.. not really scary.

I remember watching the original Ju-On at SM Fairview right after our High School class and I had sleepless nights remembering those scenes from Kayako, Toshio and that howling cat. 16 years after and they decided to do another remake of an actual remake which will always be compared to the original and I have to say was the weakest of the 3 that I've seen. The movie's a bit of a drag with the slow narrative, got some lousy jump scares, gory but less scary. The timelines may confuse you at first until it makes sense by the third act. What I like best was the acting, good thing they had John Cho and Lin Shaye. Seriously, I really feel this is an unnecessary remake. FingerChopper.NumberFour.GougedEyes.
