Isang henyo role na naman si Benedict Cumberbatch after Dr. Strange, Alan Turing and Sherlocke Holmes, this time it's scientist Thomas Edison. Paunahan lang sila ni George Westinghouse pailawin ang buong Amerika. I remember this received buzz 2 years ago when shown during the TIFF but got shelved after the Weinstein sex scandal. I'm impressed with the technical aspects of the film, the cinematography (yung mahahabang tracking shots and overhead scenes), period costumes and musical scoring; the stylised look didn't feel old at all even if it's a historical biopic. Just found it weird having British actors portray these known American characters. Sana stand alone film naman ni Nicolai Tesla or JP Morgan next. Dynamo.Phonograph.ACDC.
