15th Cinema One Originals Film Festival 
Runs from: November 7 to 17 

Cinema One Originals Film Festival turns 15 this year! To celebrate this milestone, the festival is returning with the promise of a bigger and better one, with a lineup of well-curated films showcasing the talents of our very own up and coming filmmakers.  Happening from November 7 to 17, C1 Originals will be screening in Trinoma, Glorietta, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Gateway, Powerplant Makati, Cinema '76, Cinema Centenario, Cinematheque, and Cine Adarna.

With the tagline "Kaya Mo?", this year is set to be "young, authentic, brave, cool, and inclusive" as it features a diverse selection of 8 films going from comedy coming-of-age dramas to dark comedies and horror.

Cara x Jagger 
Premieres on: November 6

Directed by Ice Idanan, Cara x Jagger is a film centering on Cara who, at the age of 22, is diagnosed with a condition where has a sharp memory of even the smallest details of the events. To get out of her mental situation, she accepts a job where she has to take care of a patient with amnesia to gain money for a "forgetting therapy" in Europe. The only problem is that the said patient is her first love, Jagger, who she wants to forget. The film stars Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Ruru Madrid. 

Midway
Premieres on: November 6 

Midway is an epic war film telling the events of the Battle of Midway. It chronicles the clash between the American and Japanese naval forces during World War II, highlighting the story of the leaders and soldiers who fought with bravery. Directed by Roland Emmerich, it stars Ed Skrein, Luke Evans, Nick Jonas, Mandy Moore, Darren Criss, Woody Harrelson, and more. 

Doctor Sleep
Premieres on: November 7

Set 40 years after his stay at the Overlook Hotel in The Shining, Dan Torrance is still scarred and has just found his semblance of peace. This is shattered when Abra – a girl with extrasensory gift known as the "shine" – seeks his help to fight against the merciless Rose the Hat and her followers. Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson, and Kyliegh Curran star in this supernatural thriller by director Mike Flanagan. 

Charlie's Angels
Premieres on: November 13

From director Elizabeth Banks comes a film which centers on highly-trained women who work for the mysterious Charles Townsend to take on the toughest job everywhere. It stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska. 

Ford v Ferrari
Premieres on: November 13

Ford v Ferrari is about automotive designer Carroll Shelby and race car driver Ken Miles who team up together to create a revolutionary vehicle for the Ford Motor Co. to compete against the race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966. It stars Matt Damon, Christian Bale, Caitriona Balfe, and more. 

The Annulment 
Premieres on: November 13

A film that stars Joem Bascon and Lovi Poe, The Annulment follows the love story of a couple whose marriage is on the brink of a fallout. While Gari wants to get an annulment as her way of getting her happiness back, Sherwin tries his best to win her back. The film is directed by McArthur C. Alejandre. 

21 Bridges
Premieres on: November 21

In 21 Bridges, an NYPD detective goes on a manhunt for two young cop killers. However, as the night unfolds he becomes more unsure about who he should pursue and who is pursuing him. It stars Chadwick Boseman, Sienna Miller, Taylor Kitsch, and more. 

Frozen II 
Premieres on: November 20

The sequel to the 2013 animated film will be focusing more on the story behind Elsa's powers. Because her abilities are both a calling for her and a threat to her kingdom, she goes on a remarkable journey with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven to seek answers. Frozen II will again be directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, and will be featuring the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad. 

The Good Liar
Premieres on: November 20

The Good Liar stars Ian McKellen as Roy Courtney, a con artist who is planning to trick Betty McLeish, a widow he met online. He then realizes that as he is getting Betty to open her life to him, he finds himself caring for her more. Joining McKellen in the cast is Hellen Mirren, Jim Carter, Russell Tovey, and more. 

Knives Out
Premieres on: November 27

Knives Out is a whodunit mystery film set on a family gathering gone wrong. When the famous novelist Harlan Thrombey is found dead at his estate after his birthday, Det. Benoit Blanc puts on his detective shoes to find out who committed the murder, going through the lies and red herrings to uncover the truth.  Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, and more star in the film.
