Netflix has released a romantic and emotional trailer for the upcoming limited series From Scratch. It stars Zoe Saldaña of Avatar and The Guardians of the Galaxy fame, opposite Italian star Eugenio Mastrandrea. The show centers on the romance that bloomed between two people from different parts of the world.

From Scratch is adapted from the memoir of Tembi Locke, whose sister, Attica Locke, serves as the TV adaptation’s showrunner. The series follows the African American woman Amy who goes to Italy to study and finds herself falling in love with the Sicilian chef Lino. As the trailer teased, Amy and Lino’s relationship is faced with many challenges, including those involving their different cultural backgrounds. But when Lino is afflicted with serious health conditions, the pair and their families will come together and prove that love crosses all borders.
