It is the fourth and final film in the Ip Man film series based on the life of the Wing Chun grandmaster of the same name. The Kung Fu master travels to the U.S. where his student has upset the local martial arts community by opening a Wing Chun school.
Thoroughly enjoyable movie. It reminds us of an era when Chinese immigrants were treated as outcasts in American society and considered the "sick man of Asia." The fight scenes are brutal and showcase the different kung fu styles in contrast to karate. The cinematography is especially faithful to the period. Kudos to everyone involved in this movie.
