About the Event

UPDATE: Jessica Henwick will not be able to join this year's APCC due to unforeseen circumstances. This was announced in a post released by AsiaPOP Comicon on their Facebook page last week.

Pop culture fans, now's your cue to start saving up, because AsiaPOP Comicon Manila will be returning this year! And just like the previous years, it promises to be much, much bigger and better with everything that they have in store!

Happening from July 27 to 29 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, APCC's fourth year will continue to bring unique talent - from artists to celebrities - who have made their mark on the pop culture scene.

The first batch of guests has already been announced yesterday, getting the fans hyped up and excited for what's to come. The line up is led by Finn Jones who plays the titular character in Marvel's Iron Fist, a role he reprised from the other Marvel shows Luke Cage and The Defenders. Jones is also well-known for his portrayal of Knight of Flowers Loras Tyrell in Game of Thrones

Jones will be joined by his on-screen partner, Jessica Henwick, who plays Colleen Wing in Iron Fist. She also appeared in Game of Thrones as Nymeria Sand, and has also played roles in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She is set to star in the film Underwater with Kristen Stewart and T.J. Miller.

Abdulla Mahmood, Director of Al Ahli Holding Group also teased about the return of Hall M and Hall N, which gave fans an exclusive access on Marvel and Netflix content. Fans would have to wait a bit longer for the announcement, but he assures that it's definitely going to be worth the wait!

Aside from the announced lineup of Hollywood celebrities, APCC also announced the artists and cosplayers who will be making an appearance in the three-day event. Some of the most notable names to watch out for include Canvas Cosplay,  Leon Chiro, an award-winning Italian cosplayer, Alex Sinclair, who is known for his previous works on Harley Quinn, Superman, and Batman: Hush, multi-awarded comic book illustrator Lan Medina, Mike McKone who worked for DC Comics' Justice League of America and Marvel's Punisher, and Phil Noto who worked both in Disney and in various comic book series. Brian Ian Muir, notable for sculpting Darth Vader's helmet, will also be a part of this year's comicon. Whilce Portacio and Simone Legno will also be returning this year.

Tickets for APCC are now available via the SM Tickets website. Tickets are at P650 (one-day pass), P950 (two-day pass), and P1150 (three-day pass), which entitle the ticketholder access to stage activities, performances, and the main exhibition floor. The event is free for children aged 5 years and below.
