About the Event
Altro Mondo Arte Contemporanea is proud to present LAST, a group exhibition of new works by contemporary visual artists, Daniel Aligaen, Renz Baluyot, Francis Bejar, Pin Calacal, Edrick Daniel, Jonas Eslao, Ivy Floresca, Krista Nogueras, and Jel Suarez at the Altro Mondo Arte Contemporanea gallery (3rd Floor, Greenbelt 5, AyalaCenter, Makati City).
The show ‘Last’ deals with the conflicts man face in building a legacy. Some themes in the show include survival, resiliency, and endurance, which are elements that are also present in man’s desire for immortality, not in the literal sense but in terms of leaving the future generation man’s lasting renown. The show features works that are conceptually intriguing yet remain fascinating to be perceived visually, all weighted by these nine artists’ varying concepts on how makes man ‘last,’.
This group of artists are eager to present the public their fresh perspectives on “how we humans, through time, have endured and survived and at the same time made our mark and molded the milieu,” as Baluyot, one of the artists have written.
