About the Event

Aleron, an all-male choir based in Quezon City, will be in concert on Sunday, the 15th of October. The concert will be held at the Church of the Risen Lord inside the UP Diliman Campus at 8:00 in the evening. The concert will serve as a homecoming from their successful two-month European concert and competition tour.

Aleron: Homecoming Concert

The concert is built on the repertoire they presented on their 64-day journey across Europe. One of their tour cornerstones, their stint at the 11th World Symposium on Choral Music held in Barcelona, Spain from July 22-29, presented the group with the theme “Colors of Peace”.

Among the repertoire to be presented in the concert is a commissioned work by Filipino-American composer Nilo Alcala. “Prisms and Windows,” will make its Philippine debut alongside other songs that the group presented in competition and concerts in Europe.

Tickets may be purchased at PHP 300.00. For ticket inquiries and other questions, the group may be contacted via productions@aleronchoir.com, or +639178440752.

Aleron is an all-male choir which came together in 2006 as the alumni group of the Ateneo High School Glee Club under the baton of their current conductor Christopher Arceo. Today, the group is composed of male choristers, most of which are from the Ateneo de Manila University and University of the Philippines musical networks. Aleron, translated from Latin as “the winged one,” not only aims to soar towards all-male musical excellence, but, more importantly, to enjoin its audiences to experience its brand of choral music.
