About the Event

Pajama Society brings you the Affordable Art Show at the Atelier Gallery in Erehwon Center for the Arts. Interest in the local art scene is at an all-time high, and the Affordable Art Show seeks to galvanize art lovers who want to be collectors but don't know where to start. The show offers a gateway into the hobby of art collecting through offering up quality artworks at approachable prices. Admission is free. The exhibit opens on May 20, 2017 at 1:00pm as part of Art Weekend: A Summer Mixer @ Erehwon. It runs until June 17th.

The exhibit opening on May 20 is accompanied by free artist talks from Jerich Eusebio, Lakan Olivares, Roman Genaro Padilla, Eric Roxas and WHOAREMARO. In between talks, experience performance art stages by Badlit, Jose Luis Gomez and a surprise guest or two. Also happening is VS MODE, a live art competition sponsored by Bo's Coffee and The Mustache Creative. VS MODE pits artists in a head-to-head art battle that requires them to think on their feet. These activities are followed by Band Night featuring live performances by Malachi, Paranoid City, Carousel Casualties and We Are Imaginary.

Pajama Society is an artists collective born out of an informal group that emerged from Eleanor Giron's Sagilid Gallery circle and Piaget Martelino's Saturday Sketching Sessions. In 2011, Piaget began organizing regular figure drawing sessions, bringing together a diverse group of artists. That group has gone on to mount exhibitions at Sagilid Gallery, Cevio Art Haus, A Space Makati, Art Galileia, SET Artist Run Space and Erehwon Center for the Arts. You can check out Pajama Society on Facebook here. You can find the Affordable Art Show's Facebook event page here.
