About the Event

Summer is now in full swing, and many parents are on the lookout for fun summer activities for their young kids and active teens.

There’s no chance of children complaining "I'm boooored!" because PETA’s Summer Workshops are a sure fun and creative way of keeping kids busy all season. But moms and dads can have their dose of fun too. PETA’s summer courses ensure that there’s something for the whole family!

PETA is offering courses for children, teens, and adults from April 17 to May 28 at various areas in the Philippines.

PETA’s theater courses include Children's Theater 1 (for ages 6-9), Children's Theater 2 (ages 9-12), Teen Theater (for ages 13-16), and Theater Arts (for ages 17 and up), while the advanced courses for ages 17 and up are Basic Acting and Creative Musical Theater.

Accomplished artists and expert facilitators head PETA's annual workshops. Dubbed as artist-teachers, these educators are trained to conduct theater workshops using PETA's unique integrated theater arts approach.

The integrated theater arts approach blends the five different disciplines of theater, namely creative drama, body movement and dance, creative sound and music, creative writing, and visual arts in the workshop curriculum. The student-centered workshops also offer a means for participants to express themselves fully and to boost their confidence and creativity.

The program ends with the participants' final showcase at the PETA-PHINMA Theater, in which they will present their own production. The program's recital is original pieces, which draws inspiration from the participants' experiences, turning their stories into theater productions.

PETA is offering its theater workshops at the following venues: Makati, Quezon City, Pampanga and Tacloban.
