After almost 9 months after the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus released, Apple is now introducing their official lightning dock charger. Since the dock has been long overdue, there have been a lot of third-party docks that have already been released.
"Your iPhone sits upright in the dock as it syncs or charges, so it’s perfect for a desk or countertop," as posted on the website. The dock is compatible with the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, the latest fifth-generation iPod touch, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
It is a simple block of white plastic with a wide base to work with Apple-designed cases. It also has an audio line-out port so that you can connect to powered speakers and supports headphones that include a remote control.
The new lightning dock is sold at $39 on the Apple Online Store and is available in other countries, although prices may be different.
