About the Event
This is a workshop for young adults, no younger than 13 years old, who love taking photos and want to take their skills to the next level. Participants will learn the basics of photography, and acquire aesthetic and technical skills for taking captivating snapshots.
This workshop, which features a classroom lecture in addition to photo shoots and a photo clinic, covers the following topics:
- Photography: then and now
- The digital camera (types, components, and settings)
- Exposure and light
- Camera lenses
- Composition, perspective, and elements of design
- The digital workflow
- Shooting various photography subject
About the facilitator
Aly Reyes: A Corporate Executive turned Photographer.
He started photography way back in the 1980’s but has only immersed himself as a professional photographer six years ago. He has won several photography competitions and in 2010 he was named the Photographer of the Year at the Ayala Alabang Camera Club. He also became the president of said club in 2011. He founded the Circle of Confusion: the Camera Club of Palms and the former South Shooters Photographic Society.
He is fond of taking portraits in ambient light and also does travel, concert, and food photography. He also conducts a workshop for enthusiasts called EVERYDAY PHOTOGRAPHY that essentially deals with capturing “everyday” events or things and making them into personal works of art.
The workshop fee is P 4,800 inclusive of materials, handouts, snacks, one day free access to the Ayala Museum and Filipinas Heritage Library. The deadline for reservations is on April 26, 2016. Museum members, AGC, and Acentives members can avail of a 10-percent discount.
