Words Anonymous is turning 2 this year - and they’re celebrating the best way they know how: With a grand show unlike any before. On April 23rd, 8pm, at the PETA Theater Center, Words Anonymous presents two. their 2nd anniversary celebration.
Words Anonymous is a spoken word group formed in 2014 by friends brought together by their love of spoken word and a longing to be heard and understood, with a goal to share their passion for spoken word poetry with the rest of the country.
Through their performances, they weave tales of love, loss, inequality, and the struggles of finding one’s place in the world. They also aim to promote all forms of creative expression through collaborations with other artists and organizations, like Metro Manila Pride, UN Women, SipatLawin Ensemble, and local bands and musicians like Sud, Jensen and The Flips, Reese Lansangan, Aleph, and others.
They we will be taking to the stage to bring a performance that includes collaborations, new pieces, and our work since day one. After two years of support, we'd like to invite you to come and celebrate with us.
Bring your love, your crushes, your dreams, your brokenness, your boyfriends, your girlfriends, your exes, your dog, some Jollibee, if you want to, but, fair warning: this is a show not for the weak-hearted.
