There's a new zombie apocalypse coming to Netflix this April, and if you're one of those who's marathoned and loved Z Nation, you're in for a treat as Black Summer is a prequel set in the Z Nation Universe!

Black Summer follows Jamie King's Rose as she goes on a journey to find her missing daughter. She then joins a group of American refugees who must brave the new world and survive the summer of a zombie apocalypse.
The 8-episode series is created by Z Nation co-creator and executive producer Karl Schaefer alongside John Hyams, who also worked on the flagship series. It stars Jaime King, Justin Chu Cary, Kelsey Flower, Gwynyth Walsh, Christine Lee, Mustafa Alabsi, and more.
Black Summer launches globally on Netflix this April 11. The flagship show, Z Nation is also available for streaming on the website.
