HBO Max finally revealed the official teaser for The Last of Us, the TV adaptation of the popular video game franchise of the same name. The trailer gives us a glimpse of actors Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey– both have starred in the HBO hit series Game of Thrones— as they play the roles of Joel and Ellie respectively.

The Last of Us takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed, and zombie-like creatures prowl its ruins. the story follows Joel, a hardened survivor who is hired to smuggle the 14-year-old Ellie out of an oppressive quarantine zone. The journey which takes them across the US will prove perilous and heartbreaking, as they depend on one another for survival.
The series also stars Gabriel Luna, Merle Dandridge, and Anna Torv. It is written for TV by Craig Mazin of Chernobyl and Neil Druckman of The Last of Us and Uncharted video games.
