From the director of K-dramas The Beauty Inside and Another Miss Oh comes a new historical K-drama The King’s Affection, which stars Park Eun Bin and SF9’s Rowoon. And before the drama premieres this October 11 on Netflix, the streaming site released the teaser poster for it, teasing the audience of the palace romance that they should expect from the title.

The King’s Affection is based on a comic book series and tells the story of an abandoned female twin who ends up disguising herself as her crown prince brother who passed away. Park Eun Bin plays the disguised crown prince Yi Hwi, whose world changes when she meets Rowoon’s Jung Ji Un during her lectures. The two eventually start falling for each other, leading them to face a destiny that they cannot avoid.
In a statement released by the drama’s producers, they said: “The producers of The King’s Affection shared, “On set, Park Eun bin and Rowoon brought the charming atmosphere and feelings of wistful yearning to life realistically. Please show a lot of interest and look forward to the imaginations of what it would have been like to have a king disappear into the mists of history and the inescapable fate of the two people which starts on October 11th.”
The drama is directed by Song Hyun Wook (The Beauty Inside, Another Miss Oh), with a script by Han Hee Jung (Clean With Passion for Now). It stars Park Eun Bin, Rowoon, Nam Yoon Su, Bae Yoon Kyung, Choi Byung Chan, and more.
The King’s Affection premieres on Netflix this October 11.
