Netflix has finally revealed the first-look photos for their upcoming live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop!
The photos feature the show’s main stars John Cho, Mustafe Shakir, and Daniella Padilla in the iconic garbs of the anime’s Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, and Faye Valentine. They even have the adorable corgi Ein alongside them! Check out the photos below:
Based on the popular anime series from the ’90s, Cowboy Bebop is a Space Western show that follows a ragtag crew of bounty hunters who are ready to track down and capture the solar system’s most dangerous criminals for the right price, while trying to outrun their own pasts.
While the costumes of the show’s main characters are on point, the photos seem to be missing an important part of the anime– Ed. The young girl isn’t just the team’s genius hacker, she also keeps the ship lively with her hyperactive personality. Whether she’s joining the adaptation is still something that fans could look forward to.
Serving as Cowboy Bebop‘s showrunner is AndrĆ© Nemec, with the director of the original anime series, ShinichirÅ Watanabe serving as a consultant on the series. The anime’s original composer, Yoko Kanno, also returns for the live-action adaptation. The series also stars Alex Hassell and Elena Satine.
Cowboy Bebop is set for release on Netflix this November 19.
