WATCH: Alan Menken Performs a Disney Hits Medley From Home

One of the stars who performed in The Rosie O'Donnell Show is Alan Menken, the man behind the music of Disney films including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Enchanted, Tangled, and more.

With COVID-19 affecting so many countries in the world, many celebrities and famous personalities have been doing whatever they can to encourage people to stay at home and to be of help to those in need during these difficult times. 

In the Broadway world, Rosie O'Donnell brought back her 25-time Emmy Award-winning The Rosie O'Donnell Show for one night only for the benefit of The Actors Fund, supporting members of the entertainment industry who are in need during the coronavirus outbreak. In this 3.5-hour live stream, she was able to invite over 50 theater personalities to perform a few of their songs. 

One of the stars who performed in the show is Alan Menken, the man behind the music of Disney films including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Enchanted, Tangled, and moreHe also did the music for musicals like Newsies and Little Shop of Horrors

During the show, Menken also revealed that he and Lin-Manuel Miranda have already recorded the new songs they wrote for the live-action version of The Little Mermaid. He also hinted that he's working on the music for Disenchanted, the upcoming sequel to Enchanted.

In the Philippines, National Artist For Music Ryan Cayabyab has started the project called Bayanihan, Musikahan, a series of free and Facebook live concerts featuring many Filipino artists who will be performing from their homes.
