I discovered Inka Magnaye’s voice when she went viral recently with the airline spiel she did with her mom, and it was just so soothing to listen to her random clips of her speaking and reading. Recently I’ve been listening to her Sleeping Pill episodes not to help me sleep, but to just enjoy the calming tone of her voice at the end of the day. She reads different poems best enjoyed in a dim room with your eyes closed. If you are a fan of ASMR, then this one’s something to help you keep your mind relaxed after a long day.

Lifetime by Ben&Ben
Ben&Ben has done it again. The 9-piece band recently released a song about a missed opportunity on love, while we’re all in quarantine. In case you didn’t know yet, the song is inspired by a fan’s heartbreak story which was posted in one of the band’s music videos. According to Miguel, one line from the fan’s comment touched him, “if only one of us dared to make a move, a lifetime was waiting for us.” The folk-pop ballad has the same feels as their other songs — it’s beautiful yet melancholic.

Harry Potter at Home: Readings
Potterheads who keep looking for more ways to enjoy the franchise don’t need to look further now, thanks to ‘Harry Potter AT Home: Readings’! With 10 episodes now, this podcast feature Harry Potter stars and other famous celebrities who read a chapter of the novel. So far, Daniel Radcliffe, Evanna Lynch, Eddie Redmayne, Jonathan Van Ness, and Whoopi Goldberg have read a portion from the book. For those who have been a Potterhead like me for years, this podcast is a good way to experience the wizarding world again and relive some of my favorite scenes from the books.

One of my favorite musical films, Les Miserables is packed with great memorable tunes along with its compelling storyline. It is nice to listen to, especially as we celebrate Independence Day this week. The songs of the film will really remind us why the normal citizens rose up to take down those in power — because of all the injustices that they must endure.
