In 2016, South Korean zombie thriller ‘Train to Busan‘ became the highest grossing Korean film in three Asian countries and grossed over $90 million worldwide. So it’s no surprise that the announcement of its sequel Peninsula received so much excitement from fans. Here’s more news: distributor Pioneer Films shared in their Instagram that we’ll soon get an extended version of the first film, and that Train to Busan: Peninsula has a target release date of end-July!

If you wanted more of Train to Busan and that movie ending left you hanging, then you can soon relive the terror with never before seen footage with the extended version. No exact date has been given yet for the release, given our quarantine status, but it’s targeted to be released some time next month.
The highly anticipated sequel, Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula, is also being geared to premiere by the end of July. The sequel is set four years after the events ofĀ the first film, and shows the post-apocalyptic world where the only rule is to survive.Ā
