It's been four years since Train to Busan hit the cinemas, and during those years, not much information has spread about its much-awaited sequel. Now, following the release of the two newest posters last month, fans who have been eagerly waiting for the sequel are finally treated to the first teaser to Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula, which is just as action-packed as we all expected it to be.
Check out the teaser below:
Peninsula, which is also set four years after the events of Train to Busan, shows the post-apocalyptic world where the only rule is to survive. It centers on Jun Seok, a soldier who escaped the diseased wasteland and is assigned to an operation where his objectives are to retrieve and to survive. However, when he and his team encounter survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best of human nature will help them survive in those circumstances.
The upcoming sequel, still directed by Yeon Sang Ho, features a new set of cast members including Kang Don Won, Lee Jung Hyun, Kwon Hae Hyo, Kim Min Jae, Go Kyo Hwan, Kim Do Yoon, Lee Ye Won, and more.
Peninsula is set to premiere in Korean cinemas in the summer. International release dates are yet to be announced.
