1. It's about two fabulous BFFs
Deadma Walking follows John, a terminally-ill gay man who asks for his best friend Mark's help to stage his fake death so he would be able to see who will come to his wake and funeral and hear what these people will say about him. It's only then that John realizes the impact he has on people, particularly to his family, friends, and even to the ones he loved.
2. It's based on a Palanca award-winning screenplay by Eric Cabahug
Eric Cabahug's screenplay for Deadma Walking won the 2nd Prize in the "Dulang Pampelikula" category of the 2016 Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, which is known as one of the most prestigious literary prize in the Philippines. That puts him in the roster of awardees which includes Rody Vera and Antoinette Jadaone!
3. The film will also be featuring a star-studded lineup of actors
Even by just watching the trailer, you'd already feel how good Joross Gamboa's John and EA De Guzman's Mark's chemistry is. The two balance each other out and makes a good team in delivering all the laughs and heartaches of the story.
Aside from them, the film also features a star-studded lineup of actos which includes Dimples Romana, Eugene Domingo, Candy Pangilinan, Nicco Antonio, and more. You'll also have to watch out for the cameos of famous personalities because there's definitely a lot of that!
