The Salcedo Community Market is located in the heart of Makati City. Situated on Salcedo Street, near the Makati Sports Club, Salcedo Market is one of the biggest weekend community markets in the Philippines. Every Saturday, over 100 vendors come together and bring a wide variety of produce including meat, cheese, fish, wine, milk and pastries.

What you will find there: food, food, food! There's barbecue, lechon, shawarma and other local ready-to-eat viands. You may also stock up on fresh fish, frozen chicken, live crabs, organic veggies, and an array of desserts like leche flan, maja blanca, nuts, suman and many other delicacies. There are also fruits, flowers and plants.

Tents are set up to provide shade over tables where you can eat and people-watch. People-watching...now that's one of the activities you can shamelessly do there. Many a famous personality can be spotted on any Saturday.

Spending one morning/noon/afternoon eating at and/or buying produce from the Salcedo Park Saturday Market in the company of the famous doesn't make for a bad Saturday. Just bear in mind that the market folds up around 2 in the afternoon, so do what you have to before then.

A weekend market. Open every Saturday from 7am to 2pm. Except Holy Week.
