Filipino Egg Pie, the sweet and custard kind, will always bring nostalgia to my tastebuds. It reminds a lot of us of roadtrips to Laguna or Tagaytay, where many streetside bakeries sell their versions of the dessert.

While traveling for leisure is temporarily on hold, we can still have our delicious egg pie fix with food delivery. One kitchen in Makati is using their family recipe to sell one the most soft and creamy egg pies in the metro — definitely an upgrade to the roadside egg pies etched in your memory. Bari’s Egg Pie: Homemade and Always Freshly Baked

That’s right. For only P150, you can order an entire Egg Pie through the Bari’s Egg Pie Instagram account! You can have it delivered to your home, always freshly baked and warm. The pie is pre-sliced, so everyone gets an equal share (I always hate it when I slice a pie or cake unevenly)!

For egg pies, it’s fun to do the jiggle test. Slice one freshly baked egg pie and jiggle the plate and see if it wobbles or is too stiff. Bari’s version is super creamy and soft, so expect a freshly baked slice to jiggle happily on your plate. It doesn’t have that gummy texture. A freshly baked slice is very creamy and melt in your mouth. And the crust isn’t too thick, either.

I enjoy it best as soon as it is delivered for that creamy goodness. However, other fans of this particular egg pie find that it’s even better chilled, resulting in a rich flan-like texture.
