Inspired by the Filipino snack that has been popular among the 80s and 90s kids, this new cake from Max’s Restaurant’s bakeshop brand promises to bring you good old memories while indulging in the present with the melt-in-your-mouth goodness of this pretty treat!
The Rainbow Gem Cake is made with colorful layers of vanilla chiffon, a gem cookie crust, and a rich buttercream icing as its filling and frosting. It’s also made more colorful by the pastel-colored sprinkles on the outside and gem icing on top. The 5-inch round cake is also best enjoyed after a hearty meal of Max’s favorites such as Sarap-to-the-Bones Fried Chicken, Sizzling Tofu, Lechon Kawali Kare-Kare, and Lumpiang Shanghai, among others.
