Check Out These 3 Soy Sauce-flavored Doughnuts from the Poison x Kikkoman Collaboration

Poison Coffee & Doughnuts never shies away from funky flavor remixes and food mashups to feature on their menu. From kakanin-inspired doughnuts to chips-flavored ones, Poison is clearly enjoying taking Homer’s favorite snack for a spin. This time around, the local brand is partnering with Kikkoman to shoyu what they can do with the liquid condiment that’s a staple in every kitchen: soy sauce.

The Poison x Kikkoman collaboration features 3 limited edition doughnut flavors infusing the salty, umami seasoning. These doughnuts are priced at P105 each and are now available for delivery and pickup at the store. You can also get these soy sauce doughnuts for dine-in and takeout via The Grid Food Market at Stall 20 (Workshop) in Power Plant Mall.

Kikko Man

The Kikko Man (P105) is a sourdough brioche doughnut with a soy sauce buttercream filling, then finished with a soy sauce glaze. Fans of salty-sweet treats such as salted caramel should definitely give this one a go!

Kikko Shoyu Bonito

How about a kick of umami in your dessert? The Kikko Shoyu Bonito (P105) is the soy sauce doughnut for you. A classic sourdough brioche ring features a wasabi white chocolate glaze with soy sauce frosting and is topped with bonito flakes. The katsuobushi topping really amps up the savory on this doughnut.

Kikkonana

The third Posion x Kikkoman dougnut is the Kikkonana (P105) and is a personal favorite. It’s banana pudding meets doughnut for this one! The soft sourdough brioche doughnut is stuffed with banana pudding that bursts in your mouth on your first bite. The sweet and fruity filling is complemented by a distinct saltiness from the doughnut glaze: a combination of soy sauce and miso, dusted with kinako (soybean flour).
