About the Event
A show about how our stories and our memory of people change/evolve through time. A collection done, years in between, that shows where the artist was at the time when a specific piece was made.
Like any other forms of art, such creations serve as a time capsule, something that only makes sense at a certain moment in an artist’s life. As much as their subjects, medium and style change, the way they feel the moment they look back to these old works remain the same. The portions of themselves that they leave behind in these works, make room for new pieces to bloom, another piece of themselves growing in its place. And as these old and new pieces exist and thrive at the same time, the artist creates versions of themselves, personal truths bound by the perception of what they were, what they can become and who they are now."
