About the Event

To celebrate the Japanese brand’s innovation and sustainability, Mitsubishi car clubs in Metro Manila are organizing the first ever MitsuFest Philippines, the biggest gathering of Mitsubishi enthusiasts in the country. The event will be held on October 23, 2016 at the Blue Bay Walk in Pasay City.

Metro Manila is a region run by cars. The Philippines is seen as an important automotive growth area in the region, and the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) has seen a continuous increase in domestic vehicle sales. And one of the strongest players in the market is Mitsubishi.

Organized by the LanEvo Club, with the support of clubs from various Mitsubishi models such as the Lancer, Mirage, Montero, Pajero, Galant, L300, Adventure, Delica, ASX, Fuzion, and others, the MitsuFest is expected to gather 500 of the latest releases, vintage, custom, and rare models for a day of camaraderie and unity among fans of all generations.

“Mitsubishi enthusiasts in the Philippines are fragmented, and it’s time for all of us to unite,” shares LanEvo Club President Miguel Mendoza. “I’ve noticed that Mitsubishi users are more passionate about their cars than other brands. This event was established to foster a sense of community, where we can share tips and tricks, and look out for each other.”

MitsuFest will host a series of activities for all attendees. Activities include a game of Last Man Standing, where a group of participants will put a hand on a designated car and whoever stays the longest will win, a Ms. MitsuFest Philippines pageant, a scavenger hunt, and a Mitsubishi themed quiz night.

Car owners can also participate in the car competition, which will award the best ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s allstock models, the people’s choice, and the highestmileage, the oldest, and the oldest firstowned Mitsubishi vehicles.

To support the event, MitsuFest will host two track days called the Sunday Cup at the Clark International Speedway and the Batangas Racing Circuit, which will be held on January 22, 2017 and December 10, 2016 respectively.

“The events will be held to celebrate how Mitsubishi is driven by passion and fuelled by innovation,” ends Mendoza. “Its users reflect that so we’d like to gather everyone, because there is strength in numbers. It’s also more fun!”

All events will be open to the public for free. Interested car owners can preregister at http://bit.ly/2cCAuM0 and enjoy discounts until October 16.
