About the Event

Transitioning from campus life to the workforce is a struggle many millennial graduates go through. It's important that they are equipped with the right education and skill set in order to keep pace with the ever-evolving challenges of employment.

The University of Santos Tomas (UST) prides itself of having innovative programs that prepare its graduates for the demands of the real world and has been recognized as an institution that emphasizes excellence. In the 2016 Jobstreet.com.ph survey of schools that matter, 31% of companies prefer employing fresh graduates from UST. It also got a 4-star rating from the QS Top Universities, an organization that rates and ranks universities worldwide.

Thomasian professionals inspire wherever they land. They immediately make an impact in the community when given the opportunity. Graduates who've made waves recently best embody this.

Take Ron Baetiong, a BS entrepreneurship graduate who turned his thesis into a profitable app in the nightclub scene, now known as Partyphile. Romulo Kintanar is another example. A graduate of BS Psychology, he's now a public school teacher who's an upstanding member of Teach for the Philippines, an organization that advocates for education equity. Architect Jet dela Rosa, also a UST alum meanwhile is at the forefront of designing environmentally sustainable communities.

More Thomasians will be added to the already long list of graduates who've made an impact in the country. The school's continuous effort to make education programs even more diverse ensures that students will have numerous pathways to take for them to excel.

Currently, UST students can obtain a degree from the following disciplines: Religion, Science, Philosophy, Architecture, Accountancy, Arts and Letters, Civil Law, Commerce and Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts and Design, Medicine and Surgery, Music, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Education and Athletics, Rehabilitation Sciences, and Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Just how far can a UST degree take you? Find out at the Thomasian Pride Career Fair, happening on April 13 to 15, 8AM to 5PM at the Plaza Mayor, UST Campus in Manila. Over a hundred companies across a wide range of industries will have booths for graduating students and alumni to find out the opportunities that await them in the workforce.

Co-presented by Unilever, the fair will also have a series of side events to help the participants not only find the right career, but also to have fun while being empowered with practical knowledge. There will be inspiring talks for all Thomasians to enjoy and the 3-day event will be capped off with an exciting Networking Night.
