About the Event

The 5th Year Industrial Engineering students of Polytechnic University of the Philippines will be holding its 7th Industrial Engineering Assembly as part of the department’s annual convention and a requirement in the subject INEN 3022 (Inspection, Field Trips, Seminars and Trainings) of every graduating batch.

Since 2013, the batch of graduating students of Industrial Engineering (IE) Department has been conducting a convention with a purpose of promoting academic excellence and professionalism among our fellow students and in the field of Industrial Engineering.

There were always resource speakers being invited from different industry for knowledgeable talks and in regards to their field of expertise. This wouldn’t be possible also without the help of those different sponsors whom in one way or another contributes to the event’s success.

Way back 2013, the convention was themed “Expedition: Promulgating the Ports of the Future Industrial Engineers”, was held at Tanghalang Pasigueño, Pasig City. It was a 3 day event wherein every IE Students of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) were advised to attend the said event.

Like the previous year, the 2014 convention, organized by the graduating batch was also held at Tanghalang Pasigueño with the theme, “INTUIT: Inside the Ultimate IE Toolkit” and it only last for 2 days.

Last year 2015, the convention was themed, “IExplore: Trendsetting, Transforming, Trailblazing”. Unlike the first two conventions it was a bit different, it was only a one day event held at NALLRC building-Bulwagang Balagtas in PUP.

Over the years, the annual convention of IE department continues to promote academic excellence, career orientation and professionalism in Industrial Engineering community.
