About the Event
On March 1 and 2, a film entitled Bambanti (Scarecrow) will be played at Dioscoro L. Umali Auditorium, University of the Philippines Los Baños. The said film will have one (1) screening each day which is exactly 7 pm.
We are expecting to have 600 people viewers. The tickets can be bought ₱120.00 each at CAS Building first floor near the stairs. The money that will earn from this film will be used into a leadership conference entitled Nueva Ecija Youth Summit which high school students of Nueva Ecija will be part of that will happen this year.
Directed and written by Zig Dulay, the film Bambanti (Scarecrow) illustrates traditions and beliefs of people in rural areas as well as the effects of social status in justice to contribute to the level of social awareness and nationalistic passion of our fellow students.
According to IMDb web site, the film was nominated in Nantes Three Continents Festival and Sinag Maynila Film Festival as Best Picture and won Sinag Maynila Film Festival the Best Actress Award whom portrayed by Alessandra de Rossi.
