Words are the basis of every form of communication. Writing skills are essential not only to be an effective communicator but also a memorable storyteller who can weave words into narratives that move, provoke, and inspire.
Let our upcoming event, FEATURE WRITING 101, pave the way to achieving your writing goals. Whether you’re an aspiring writer or a more established one who wants a refresher course, you’ll learn the tools and techniques that are needed to create compelling content. The workshop is a good mix of lecture series and writing activities, which will tackle topics like finding story angles, putting more oomph into your story, and such.
Participants will also get a chance to interact with guest speaker, Sarge Lacuesta, who has won many awards for his writing, among them two Philippine National Book Awards, the Madrigal Gonzalez Best First Book Award and numerous Palanca and Philippines Graphic Awards. He is currently Editor-at-Large at Esquire Philippines and Senior Editor at Panorama, an international travel journal.
