Altro Mondo Arte Cotemporanea is pleased to present Allegoria 1: The Art Piece As A Closed Text Series is a group exhibition by the artists behind the local art magazine, DISKURSO.COM at Altro Mondo, Greenbelt 5 (3rd Level, Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati).
Allegoria 1: The Art Piece As A Closed Text Series is hopefully one of a sub-series of shows of allegorical art by Filipino artists responding to the public reading of artworks. It is a show where its artists mean to present their works with a secured interpretation, “the closed text,” as opposed to lending the interpretation to the viewers. A rather intellectual exhibit, ALLEGORIA 1 communicates to the wider public art and its market in the post-structuralist era.
DISKURSO.COM is a local art publishing made up of a team of contemporary artists in the Philippines. The magazine focuses on publishing artistic discourse on contemporary art, highlighting its importance in the field of art and its audience today.
