About the Event
Artery Art Space is pleased to present “Rip Current” featuring imaginative renditions about the altering presence of life on the planet on grounds of survival and sustainability, producing new organic forms and complex arrangements that evolve into new languages of emotion and being, speeding towards a future that appears alien arising from our estrangement of the environment, and dreamlike in its wishful thinking for utopian progress.
The paintings in the exhibit provide a hybrid of abstraction and representational works that ponder on essences and energy arriving towards an essential design and organic expression, that generate narratives of loss and chaos involving beings bent-out-of-shape or misshapen, which ponders on fate in the habitat with enduring reflections of what tomorrow may bring. Rip Current exhibits an element of concern while offering antidotes of poetic beauty.
