“Duality” a solo exhibition of Olivia d’Aboville

Altro Mondo Arte Contemporanea is proud to present “DUALITY”, a solo exhibition of new works by French-Filipina visual artist and designer, Olivia d’Aboville, at the Altro Mondo Arte Contemporanea gallery (3rd Floor, Greenbelt 5, AyalaCenter, Makati City).

The show “Duality” deals with the concept of the yin and yang or polar opposites which share a unifying relationship. For this show, d’Aboville stems from an inner calling to return to one’s organic roots in this fast-paced generation of technology and self-gratifying consumerism. Olivia d’Aboville’s newest works are minimally presented, limited to black and white, to highlight the relationship of the contrast.

Olivia d’Aboville is a prominent visual artist and designer who specializes in the use of textiles for her main works. She is deeply inspired by natural elements, such as light, geographical formations, and most notably, the romaticism of the sea; therefore, d’Aboville’s work all carry with them a feminine and earthly grace.
