Biographical drama film about a French convict, Papillon is in cinemas starting today!

Papillon follows Henry "Papillon" Charrière who was convicted of murder and was imprisoned in a penal colony on Devil's Island in South America. He must then plan his escape, forming an allience with a counterfeiter, which later results in a lasting friendship.
The film is based on Charrière's autobiographies and Papillon's 1972 film adaptation, and is directed by Michael Noer. It stars Charlie Hunnam as the titular character, joined by Rami Malek and Rolland Moller, and Tommy Flanagan.
