BLACKPINK is coming to Netflix this October! The streaming site announced today its first-ever K-pop original documentary BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky, which launches this October 14! The documentary tells the story of the girl group’s beginnings and their rise to fame.
The documentary features exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage of BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, RosĆ©, and Lisa. It also gives them a glimpse at the making of their follow-up album, which tells their stories as K-pop idols and showcases the talents that make BLACKPINK what it is today. It then culminates with the group’s performance at last year’s Coachella, making them the first K-pop girl group to perform on the festival’s stage.

BLACKPINK is a 4-member South Korean girl group under YG Entertainment, which consists of members Jisoo, Jennie, RosĆ©, and Lisa. Since their debut 4 years ago, they have already released hit songs and collaborated with artists like Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, and Selena Gomez. They will be releasing their first full album “BLACKPINK – The Album” this October.
