Square Enix’s action RPG game from 1999, Legend of Mana, is getting an anime adaptation!
The announcement was made just a few days after the release of the game’s remastered version on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC. Titled Legend of Mana -The Teardrop Crystal, the upcoming anime series will be produced by Warner Bros. Japan LLC, Graphinica, Inc., and Yokohama Animation Lab– the creators behind the remastered version’s opening sequence.
Legend of Mana is the fourth game in Square Enix’s Mana series. In this high fantasy game, the players take the role of an unnamed hero who is tasked to restore the land of Fa’Diel and the Tree of Mana– the source of all Mana in the world. The release of the game’s HD remaster coincides with its 30th-anniversary celebration.
More details about the game’s anime adaptation, including its official plot and release date, are yet to be revealed.
For now, you can play the HD remaster of the game by purchasing it via the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Steam.
