A few days before the release of Shadow & Bone, Netflix drops a new featurette explaining the world of the new fantasy series.
The new show brings together Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse books, combining the author’s Grisha trilogy and Six of Crows duology. In the featurette, the show’s cast and creators talk about the show’s fantastical world and its lineup of interesting characters.

The show is set in a war-torn world where a country called Ravka is divided into two by the ancient dark magic called the Shadow Fold. Alina Starkov, a mapmaker of the army, discovers that she might have the power to eradicate the Shadow Fold. She is then thrown into the world of the Grisha– people who have special abilities like her.
Eric Heisserer serves as the showrunner for Shadow & Bone. It stars Jessie Mei Li, Archie Renaux, Freddy Carter, Amita Suman, Kit Young, and Ben Barnes.
