Disney+ to Expand Star Wars Library with Spin-Off Films & Shows

Genndy Tartakovsky's animated 'Clone Wars' is also coming to Disney+!

While we’re still waiting for Disney+ to finally arrive here in the Philippines, the streaming platform continues to expand its library of content. And for fans of the Star Wars franchise, you’ll have more to look forward to because Disney+ will soon be releasing some rare non-canon spin-offs, ScreenRant reports.

Included in the upcoming lineup are Genndy Tartakovsky’s Star Wars: Clone Wars, two seasons of Star Wars: Ewoks, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, and  an animated segment from the Star Wars Holiday Special.

Genndy Tartakovsky, also known for creating Samurai Jack, worked on the animated spin-off Clone Wars which premiered on Cartoon Network back in 2003. The series is set between Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones and Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, and featured Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi as lead characters.

These Star Wars titles will arrive on Disney+ this April 2. There’s no news yet on when the streaming platform will exactly arrive here in the country, but after a Disney+ Philippines account appeared on Instagram, people are speculating and hoping that it will arrive real soon.
