A year since it first launched, Disney+ is now available to bring content in over 50 countries, including the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Japan. And if you’re a binge-watcher like us, you’re also probably now on the lookout for any possible announcements of a PH launch.

This is especially after some netizens discovered what seems to be the Instagram account of Disney+ Philippines. The streaming service has also recently expanded and launched in Singapore, making many people think that it’s getting closer and closer to home.

Disney+ carries titles produced by both The Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Television, with hubs for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star. The streaming service is also known for producing original films and series, which are all exclusively available on the site.

WandaVision

WandaVision takes place three weeks after the events of Avengers: Endgame. It follows Wanda Maximoff and Vision, who are concealing their true natures while living a peaceful life in New Jersey. However, as they enter new decades, they begin to suspect that everything isn’t as it seems.

Reprising their roles for the series are Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. It also stars Debra Jo Rupp, Fred Melamed, Kathryn Hahn, and more.

The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian is the first live-action Star Wars series and takes place after the fall of the Empire. It centers on a Mandalorian bounty hunter hired by remnant Imperial forces to retrieve “The Child.” Instead of bringing him to the Imperial forces, he goes on the run to protect the Infant from those who want to use his connection to the Force and reunite him with his family.

The series comes from Jon Favreau and stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, and Giancarlo Esposito.

Hamilton

Hamilton is a sung-through musical about Alexander Hamilton, who became one of the Founding Fathers of America. It chronicles the life of the bastard orphan as a war hero, a husband, George Washington’s right-hand man, and the country’s Treasury Head.

The film is shot at its home at the Richard Rogers Theaters and features the musical’s original Broadway cast. This includes Lin-Manuel Miranda, Philippa Soo, Leslie Odom Jr., Renee Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, Christopher Jackson, and more.

Soul

This animated film is about a middle-school band teacher Joe Gardner who has just received his big break as a jazz musician. However, an accident sends him on the path to the afterlife, making him unable to attend the show. Because he’s not ready to go yet, he escapes to The Great Before, where young souls are shaped before being born. It’s also there that he meets 22, who joins him in his adventure of getting his body back.

Soul features the voices of Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Graham Norton, Angela Bassett, and more.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is a 10-part mockumentary-style musical drama set in the real-life East High. It’s about a group of high school students who are all participating in the staging of High School Musical: The Musical. As they count down to the opening of their production, friendships and rivalries are made while the young people discover the power of theater.

The series tags itself as “the modern take on the ‘classic’ from 15 years ago.” It stars Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, and more.

Raya and the Last Dragon

Raya and the Last Dragon is a film set in Kumandra — a fantasy world where humans and dragons used to live in harmony. That is until an evil force led the dragons to sacrifice their lives for humanity. 500 years later, evil returns to the land and it’s up to a warrior named Raya to restore the land and unite its people by tracking down the last dragon.

The film features the voices of Kelly Marie Tran and Awkwafina. Gemma Chan, Daniel Dae Kim, and Sandra Oh also star in the film.

Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions

Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions is a documentary concert film shot in a rustic cabin in upstate New York. Here, the singer-songwriter treats fans with an intimate performance of every song from folklore. She also discusses the creation and story behind the hit song with co-producers Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff.

The film comes from Taylor Swift, who directed and produced the film. Bon Iver also makes an appearance in the film, who performed “exile” with her.

Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe

Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe is a film about a new adventure featuring the beloved stepbrothers, Phineas and Ferb. Here, they set out across the galaxy to rescue older sister Candace, who has been abducted by aliens. What they don’t know, though, is that Candace has found a utopia in the planet, which is free of her pesky little brothers.

The film features the voices of Ashley Tisdale, Vincent Martella, David Errigo, and more.

Black is King

Black is King is a visual album from BeyoncĆ©, which reimagines the lessons of The Lion King. It honors the “voyages of Black families,” through the story of a young boy’s journey through love, betrayal, and self-identity. with the help and guidance of his ancestors. The visual album is also dedicated to “today’s young kings and queens” who are in search of their own crowns.

The album stars BeyoncƩ, Folajomi Akinmurele, Nyaniso Ntsikelelo Dzedze, Stepheon Ojo, and more. Jay-Z, Tina Knowles, Blue Ivy Carter, Kelly Rowland are some of the stars who also make an appearance in the film.

Pixar Popcorn

Pixar Popcorn is a collection of mini-shorts featuring some of everyone’s favorite Pixar characters. It consists of 10 mini short and “bite-size” features from Pixar Animation Studios and centers on the characters of films like Toy Story, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and more.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. It follows Sam Wilson/Falcon and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier who must team up in an adventure that put their abilities and patience to test. The series comes from director Malcolm Spellman and stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan.

Loki

Loki is another series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s about the titular character who travels through time and alters human history after stealing the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame. He ends up in his own crime-thriller as he is taken to the Time Variance Authority organization.

Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson are two of the stars confirmed to join the cast of the new series.
