HBO has just announced that Game of Thrones will be returning for its eighth and final season in April 2019! The upcoming finale season will be having six episodes, and will be premiering in Asia, the same time as the US, on HBO GO and HBO.

The show will be written by David Benioff & D.B. Weiss, Bryan Cogman, and Dave Hill. Benioff & Weiss, as well as David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik, will also be directing for the season.
