When we say that the first season of Kingdom left us on a cliffhanger, we mean a huge one, what with all the questions and theories we have after that season finale! And even though the second season is already confirmed to be on its way (even before the first one was launched on Netflix!), we're just dying to see more on what the upcoming season will be about!
Luckily for us fans, Netflix dropped two new photos from the show's second season, which has just started to go in production last month! Check it out below:
Kingdom is a 6-episode period drama set in Joseon era and in a town that's plagued by a disease that turns anyone infected into someone that's immune to death and hungry for flesh. Following the rumor that the king has died, the crown prince – a victim of a conspiracy – must go on a journey to unveil the evil scheme involving his father, and save his people.
The drama is directed by Kim Seong Hun (The Tunnel) with a screenplay by Kim Eun Hee (Signal). It stars Ju Ji Hoon, Ryu Seung Ryong, Bae Doona, and Kim Sung Gyu.
No release date for the second season has been announced yet, but you can keep checking back on Netflix' Facebook and Twitter pages for updates.
The first season of Kingdom is available for streaming on Netflix.
