The rumors have been officially confirmed, Neil Gaiman's The Sandman comic book series will be adapted as a live-action TV series heading to Netflix!
The award-winning fantasy comic book series started under DC in 1988 and is well-loved since then by its mature readers. Here's Netflix's logline for the upcoming show:
"A rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama and legend are seamlessly interwoven, The Sandman follows the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he mends the cosmic–and human–mistakes he's made during his vast existence."

The TV series heading to the streaming giant will be produced by Warner Bros. Television together with Gaiman (Coraline, Good Omens), Allan Heinberg (Wonder Woman, Grey's Anatomy) and David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Krypton, Foundation).
