Even before the release of Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, Netflix has already greenlit two spinoffs– a prequel film titled Army of Thieves and the prequel anime series Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas. And so after subscribers finally saw the film, the question remained: what happens after that plane scene at the end of the film?
It looks like we’ll soon be getting an answer, after a report from The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that a sequel is coming from Snyder and the first movie’s co-writer Shay Hatten. According to THR, the director will work on Army of the Dead 2 after making Rebel Moon— an upcoming epic sci-fi fantasy film on Netflix.
More details are yet to be revealed about the sequel of Snyder’s zombie heist film. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to the upcoming spinoffs. Army of Thieves focuses on Matthias Schweighƶfer’s Ludwig Dieter in a zombie-less heist. Meanwhile, the anime spinoff Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas will follow Scott Ward and his crew of rescuers during the first phase of the zombie outbreak.
