From the award-winning screenwriters of the popular Korean historical period dramas Deep Rooted Tree and Queen Seondeok, comes a new epic fantasy drama that will soon be streaming on your devices this June via Netflix.
Arthdal Chronicles stars a high profile cast including Song Joong-ki (A Werewolf Boy, Descendants of the Sun), Kim Ji-won (Descendants of the Sun, Fight for My Way), Kim Ok-bin (Thirst, Steal Heart), and Jang Dong-gun (Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War, A Gentleman’s Dignity) .
The series will take place during the birth of civilization and nations in ancient times and will center around mythical heroes and people in the ancient city of Arthdal.

The story will follow the four key characters of Arthdal: Eunseom (Song Joong-ki), an innocent-looking character who fights aggressively to protect his tribe; Tagon (Jang Dong-gun), the son of the Saenyeok Tribe leader, who has great charisma and talents but whose inner rage turns him into a very dangerous man; Tanya (Kim Ji-won), the successor of the Wahan Tribe mother; and Taealha (Kim Ok-bin), the most beautiful lady of Arthdal and has the strongest desire for power.
Arthdal Chronicles is directed by Kim Won-seok (Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Misaeng), and written by Kim Young-hyun and Park Sang-yeon. Be sure to catch it when it streams on Netflix early this June!
