The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones is premiering just a few weeks from now, and with only 6 episodes to wrap up an entire era, we're pretty sure all of us will end up wanting for more GOT-related content to help us slowly move on from the show we've been faithfully following for 8 years.
Premiering just a week after the final episode airs, the documentary Game of Thrones: The Last Watch will be giving fans a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes of the show's most complicated and most ambitious season.
Game of Thrones: The Last Watch will follow the production team as they go through deadlines and extreme weather conditions to deliver the season that fans are so eager to watch. It is described to be "much more than a 'making of' documentary" as it will also be showing what it's like to create a world and eventually say goodbye to it.
The documentary is directed by Jeanie Finlay, whose previous credits include documentaries Seahorse, Orion: The Man Who Would Be King, and The Great Hip Hop Hoax.
Game of Thrones: The Last Watch will premiere on HBO same time as the US on Monday, May 27, 9AM, with a same-day encore at 10PM on HBO Go and HBO.
The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones will debut in Asia on Monday, April 15, 9AM, with a same-day encore at 10PM on HBO Go and HBO.
