A midwife, Nobuko, from Nagasaki is stunned when one day, the ghost of her dead son, Koji, whom she lost when an atomic bomb fell on the city, visits her. Koji seems unable to forget Machiko, his girlfriend whom he had planned to marry. However, Nobuko tells her son he has to let go of Machiko if she falls in love again, and while Koji understands the situation, he is unable to accept it.

Directed by award-winning director Yoji Yamada and starring Sayuri Yoshinaga, Kazunari Ninomiya and Haru Kuroki, this drama has been selected as Japan’s entry for the foreign-language category in the 2017 Oscars.
