Filipino YouTuber Lloyd Cafe Cadena, passed away last Friday, September 4, as confirmed on his official Facebook page. The online community then went on to mourn for this loss, sharing their favorite memories with Cadena and remembering his legacy.

Just last night, the family confirmed the cause of his death on Facebook. The YouTuber was said to be confined at the hospital on September 1, confirmed to be COVID-19 positive on September 3, and passed away due to cardiac arrest on September 4. He was 26.

Mulan

After its postponement because of COVID-19, the live-action adaptation of Mulan is finally streaming in selected countries via Disney+! As soon as the film went launched last Friday, people were quick to share their thoughts on the film. Some of the most talked-about topics on Mulan include Liu Yifei’s portrayal of the heroine, Yoson An’s Honghui, and Jet Li’s appearance as the Emperor.

The film is now available on Disney+ for an additional fee of $30. Those who aren’t willing to pay extra, though, may wait for it to be available for all Disney+ users this December 4.

BTS on Billboard Hot 100

BTS achieved their first #1 at the Billboard Hot 100 with “Dynamite”, just a week after the song dropped! This makes them the first Asian to reach the highest position at the US charts since the Japanese song “Sukiyaki” back in 1963. Aside from the song’s achievements on the charts, “Dynamite” also broke the records for being the most viewed music video on YouTube with over 100 million views when it premiered last August 21.

No Time To Die

The second trailer to the newest James Bond film No Time To Die finally dropped Friday. It gives the audience a glimpse of the filmā€™s villain Safin (Rami Malek), the new 00 agent played by Lashana Lynch, and Ana De Armas as the newest Bond girl.Ā 

No Time To Die marks Daniel Craig’s final film as James Bond. It centers Bond, who comes out of retirement to rescue a kidnapped scientist. The film was originally set for release last April but was pushed back because of the pandemic. It premieres in cinemas this November.Ā 

I’m Thinking of Ending Things

From Charlie Kaufman the writer of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind comes I’m Thinking of Ending Things. This psychological drama centers on a young woman who goes on a road trip with her new boyfriend, Jake, to his new farm. Trapped with his parents during a snowstorm, she starts questioning everything she knew about Jake, herself, and the world. It stars Jessie Buckley, Jesse Plemons, Toni Colette, and David Thewlis.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things is now streaming on Netflix.
