5 things you can do at Game Over PH, the newest gaming hub in the metro

Boardgames, gaming consoles, good food and more!

Looking for a new place to hang out at with your friends? Head up north for a one-of-a-kind gaming experience. Opened just in mid-June, Game Over PH has three pillars they are focusing on – board games, consoles and PC gaming. It's basically a one-stop venue where you can play, eat and drink.

The gaming hub which is the first in Metro Manila to cater to different gaming activities can seat around 100 guests and currently have three lounges – the space with the 95-inch tv which can accommodate 10 to 15 people, the areas with 55-inch tv which can be enjoyed by 5 people and the PC lounge which has 10 computers hardcore gamers can use. Here are five things you can do when you visit the newest gaming hub in the metro:

Play popular games on the 95-inch or 55-inch TV

There are actually three lounges specifically for their TVs – the 95-inch one which is actually free to play if you think of it since it's P950 consumable plus, you get an hour free. You can play different interactive games like Smash Brothers and other fighting games on the Wii U and PS4 which you can enjoy with the whole barkada. For succeeding hours, you only have to pay for P450/hr.

In addition, if you want a more intimate gaming experience, they have two 55-inch tv lounges you can use for only P450 which is consumable as well and you get an hour of game time for free. Succeeding hours is P150 only. Have no idea which game to play first? They actually have a long list you can choose from!

Indulge yourself at the PC lounge

Usually, gamers prefer playing in a dim setting so setting up a private room furnished with black light and a cool mural was a no-brainer. At their PC lounge, you'll see 10 computers with a GTX 970 video card which is a high-performance graphics card designed for serious gaming. It is also equipped with an i7 processor, a 144Hz monitor for pro gaming and SteelSeries gaming accessories.

Almost all possible games you can think of are available especially those that are free to play but they also have pay to play games which they bought off from Steam. Available games include Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Company Of Heros, Dota 2, Left 4 Dead, Overwatch and more. What's noteworthy is, you get to use and experience all of it for only P80 per hour.

Choose among 200 boardgames

A gaming hub won't be complete without any tabletop games. At Game Over, you only have to consume P200 for food and beverages and you get to play all you want. It's composed of different fast-paced games your family and friends will enjoy. Right beside the boardgames, you'll see a collection of different handheld consoles – a sort of commemoration of the gaming world, according to RJ Ronquillo, owner.

Play with old school games

They also have retro consoles like the Nintendo family computer you can play for free by the bar. There are quite a few video games you can choose from – some are played with having players 1 and 2 as allies and some, you have to compete with each other. Game Over also has two arcade machines and you can freely use it when you order P200 worth of food or beverages! That's a pretty good deal, don't you think?

Eat and Sip

What's a gaming hub without good food to distract your competitive self with? Begin with some no-frills Chicken Barbecue Salad (P185), crisp romaine lettuce topped with a lip-smacking chicken and drizzled with their house-made barbecue sauce. A serving of the X.O. Pasta (P210) would be enjoyable for those who prefer a little heat – al dente pasta tossed in a spicy seafood sauce and topped with a few pieces of succulent shrimp.

Sharing is caring. If you're going with the whole barkada, you're in for a treat since almost all the items on the menu are great for sharing like the fresh out the oven Pizza Overload (P310), Fish and Chips and the Game Over Rack Of Ribs. It's so hard to resist but upon seeing their Buffalo Wings (P280), it would make you want to devour everything in a minute. Make sure you wipe your hands clean before touching any of the games, though!

For desserts, the Molten Lava Cake (P180) which has ooey gooey chocolate sauce when you cut through it would give you a sugar rush for a needed boost in winning against your friends. If you opt for a fresher and less sweet meal ender, try the Mango Surprise Pannacotta (P175) which has a vanilla bean base and some chunks of mango.
